1. Safety & Customer-Supplied Parts
We may refuse installation of any part that could compromise safe, reliable operation. Please do not stand over or interfere with the workspace during service.
↑ Back to top2. Payments & Refunds
- Payment in full is due upon completion. Stopping a job does not cancel labor charges.
- Accepted: Cash, PayPal, credit/debit cards. Electronic payments may include a ~3% processing fee.
- Refunds require proof from a licensed mechanic and a verifiable printed receipt.
- If service must pause due to parts/external issues, half the labor is due that day; the balance is due upon completion.
3. Parts, Pickup & Markup
Technician pickup fee: $10 (within 10 miles) or $30 (20+ miles). Customer delays beyond 30 minutes: $50 per half-hour unless communicated.
If we purchase parts, a market-based markup applies for sourcing, transport, and warranty handling.
Parts Deposit Policy: If Vehicles tips LLc purchases parts on your behalf, a 50% deposit of the total parts and labor is required before parts are ordered. The balance is due upon job completion. Deposits are non-refundable if the customer cancels after parts have been purchased.
If customers supply their own parts, Vehicles tips LLc does not warranty them, and new labor fees apply if those parts fail.
↑ Back to top4. Service Call / Trip Fee & No-Show
- 0–10 miles: $25
- 10–25 miles: $40
- 25–50 miles: $60
Fee Waiver: For repairs totaling more than $300 per visit, the Service Call / Trip Fee will be waived.
Pre-dispatch confirmation: You’ll receive a text/email with a link to the policies. Please reply “I AGREE” to confirm you’ve read and accept them. If no confirmation is received, the appointment will not proceed.
No-show: If the technician arrives and the customer is unavailable, the Service Call / Trip Fee is still charged.
Questions about the waiver? You’re welcome to email us or call (757) 573-3154. We’re more than happy to discuss and negotiate if needed.
↑ Back to top5. Specialized Tools & Shop-Based Repairs
Some services require equipment or diagnostics that aren’t feasible in a mobile setting—such as a vehicle lift, heavy-duty tools, or dealer/manufacturer-specific scan tools.
Common examples include: exhaust/muffler work, transmission service, major engine repairs, brake system calibration/ABS module programming, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration, wheel alignment or alignment adjustments, tire mounting and balancing, and other heavy or precision jobs.
In these cases, we may decline mobile service and refer you to a suitably equipped repair facility or dealership. Please contact us before booking to confirm whether mobile service is possible. This helps avoid wasted time for both of us and ensures safety and quality.
↑ Back to top6. Cancellations & Refunds
Reschedule or cancel at least 72 hours before the appointment. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable (including diagnostics, maintenance, inspections, A/C recharges, and virtual sessions).
If parts were ordered through Vehicles tips LLc and you cancel, you are responsible for the parts cost + applicable markup and any Service Call / Trip Fee already incurred.
↑ Back to top7. Bathroom Breaks
As mobile mechanics, we may briefly leave to use a nearby public restroom. We do not ask to use a customer’s home restroom. If we step away, we’ll notify you by text/call/email and secure the unfinished job site before leaving.
↑ Back to top8. Safety Perimeter at Job Sites
For everyone’s safety, we create a marked work zone using hazard cones and plastic chain. Please ensure children, pets, and bystanders remain outside this perimeter until the area is cleared.
↑ Back to top9. Pre-Work Photo Documentation & Inspection
Before starting work, we take photos and perform a basic visual inspection of the vehicle and surrounding work area. This courtesy check is always free and helps identify obvious concerns such as visible damage, leaks, debris, limited space, or poor lighting. It protects both the customer and the technician by keeping a clear record of the vehicle and workspace.
For customers who would like a more detailed assessment, we also offer a Comprehensive Vehicle Analysis Check-Up for $99. This in-depth inspection is designed as a preventive “health and condition” review and is recommended every 6 months to keep your vehicle in top shape. While optional, it can provide peace of mind by catching potential issues early before they become major problems.
For everyone’s safety, if the work area is unsafe or unsuitable for service, the technician may refuse service and the appointment will be rescheduled once conditions are made safe and appropriate.
↑ Back to top10. Inspection License, Warranty & Liability Disclaimer
Inspection License (Readiness Services Only): I am a Virginia State Inspection–licensed mechanic with 17 years of experience. Services are limited to pre-inspection readiness checks, mobile diagnostics, and repairs to help your vehicle pass at a certified Virginia State Inspection facility.
Limited Warranty on Labor: Mobile labor is warrantied for 30 days from the date of service and covers workmanship only. This warranty excludes normal wear items, parts supplied by the customer, and failures caused by misuse, accidents, neglect, or unrelated mechanical issues.
Parts Policy: When parts are supplied by Vehicles tips LLc, the manufacturer or vendor warranty applies. When parts are supplied by the customer, no warranty is provided by Vehicles tips LLc.
Liability Limitation: Vehicles tips LLc is not liable for unsafe vehicle conditions identified during service, delays due to parts availability or scheduling, or costs associated with government inspections, re-inspections, or penalties resulting from failed or late inspections.
